Cera-Kote high temperature cement is a air-setting ceramic fiber cement for use with Kaowool® products. It may be used for spray, dip, or brush application. This cement sets with a strong
hard film which will develop a ceramic bond above 1600°F (871°C).
Unikote is a refractory coating material designed to provide a protective surface layer over Kaowool® and Unifelt® modules. Unikote is available in two grades: M and S. Unikote coating products generally need to be re-applied over a period of time, as neccessary.
Handling
Do not allow Unikote to get wet prior to installation. Normal shelf life is twelve months in unopened containers that have been properly stored. Time period given is based on material in unopened containers following proper storage procedures - wet products protected
from freezing, dry products protected from water.
Therm-O-Hot Patch is an ideal insulating material for fast, easy, refractory repairs. Therm-O-Hot Patch is composed of exfoliated vermiculite with binders and is a heat-set product. It has a service range to 1900°F (1040°C), is premixed and shipped in a five gallon pail.
Therm-O-Hot Patch can be used for joints, cracks in walls, arches and furnace roofs to stop heat leaks. Therm-O-Hot Patch makes an excellent seal for “hot” walls, bulkheads and arches, minimizing cold air infiltration and conserving heat loss.
Kaofil Moldable is a mixture of ceramic fiber, silica binders, and fillers which produces an insulating product with a semi-sticky consistency. This type of mix is ideal for applications such as penetration seals, metal stud protection (as in ceramic cone anchors), and for patching refractory cracks and fissures. The temperature of Kaofil Moldable and any surface to which it is to be applied should be 70°F (20°C) or above to ensure proper adhesion.
